SeaBird's freight forwarding division — operating under the heritage of Port Said Shipping & Navigation Co., founded in 1934 — is one of Egypt's oldest and most experienced logistics providers. We offer fully integrated international freight forwarding services by sea, air and land, combined with comprehensive customs clearance and warehousing for importers, exporters, and the maritime industry across Egypt.

International Sea Freight

We handle FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments to and from all major world ports. Our sea freight services include booking with mainline operators and co-loaders, freight rate negotiation, bill of lading management, pre-shipment inspections, and cargo insurance arrangements. We have strong relationships with all major shipping lines serving Egypt.

Air Freight

For time-critical shipments, our air freight team arranges cargo on all airlines operating through Cairo International Airport (CAI) and Alexandria Borg El Arab Airport (HBE). We handle dangerous goods (IATA compliant), temperature-controlled cargo, and oversized air freight. Typical door-to-door transit times from Europe are 2–3 business days.

Project Cargo & Heavy Lifts

SeaBird's project logistics team handles out-of-gauge, heavy lift, and oversized cargo movements for the oil & gas, energy and construction sectors. We arrange specialised ro-ro and heavy lift vessels, obtain all necessary permits, and coordinate transport from port to final installation site anywhere in Egypt.

Customs Clearance — Import & Export

Our licensed customs brokers operate at all Egyptian customs offices including Port Said, Alexandria, Cairo International Airport, and Ain Sokhna. We clear all commodity types, prepare customs entries, manage duties and VAT compliance, and handle ACID (Advance Cargo Information and Data) requirements for imports into Egypt.

We provide complete door-to-door logistics services combining sea or air freight from origin, customs clearance at Egyptian ports and airports, inland transportation using our own fleet or trusted subcontractors, and final delivery to the consignee's premises anywhere in Egypt. Full track and trace is provided throughout the journey.

Can you handle hazardous or dangerous goods shipments to Egypt?

Yes. We are experienced in handling IMO-classified dangerous goods for sea freight (IMDG Code compliant) and IATA dangerous goods for air freight. Our team prepares all necessary dangerous goods declarations, safety data sheets and emergency response documentation required by Egyptian authorities and international carriers.

What warehousing facilities does SeaBird offer near Port Said?

We operate three bonded and general warehouses near Port Said, totalling significant covered storage capacity with a covered loading dock, 24-hour security, CCTV monitoring, and temperature-controlled areas for provisions and sensitive cargo. Bonded warehouse status means goods can be stored duty-free pending export, re-export, or onward supply to vessels.
